I usually end my days with a cup of tea and a good book. After what are usually days filled with a blend of good, bad and just plain chaotic, it's always pacifying to look forward to my nights for that reason.
When we look back at our years in life, I bet you can think of a book that will instantly transport you back to a moment in time.

Now that I'm a mother, it's heartwarming to see my children's eyes light up as we read books together.
My wish for them is that they will continue on throughout the years with the same passion for the written word as they do now.
One of our favourites in the home, that is practically read every night is I'll Love You Forever by Robert Munsch.

Favourite book of all time is Calling Me Home because it tells a beautiful love story about a young couple that must fight the societal racism that threatens to break them apart and it pulls you in and is heartfelt and wonderful.

favourite book? tom sawyer, why? it was one of the first books I read and actually stuck in my head.. if that makes sense
I have very fond memories of a "Just So Stories" book I had as a child - my favourite to this day.
I love reading and re-reading The Giver by Lois Lowry
My favourite book of all time was a book I read in middle school called "The Ghost Next Door" by Wylly Folk St. John. I loved the story and read it many times. I lost that book and it is out of print. Have to search for it.
Looking at those pics above I recall reading the Sweet Valley High series.

One of my favourite books of all time is The Summer of Katya by Trevanian because the ending is totally unexpected...
I have so many books that I read that I can;t even remember a favorite. I guess one of them would be The Hardy Boys Series or The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn
The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom. Read it as a teenager shortly after my mom passed away. Taught me that a person can get through anything if you have faith.
My favourite book of all time is The Outsiders. I loved reading it in highschool and liked the movie. I re-read it every few years..... brings back some good memories of school days plus I still enjoy reading it to this day.

Favourite books are maybe harry potter series, because its so well written!
In high school, I loved reading Jane Eyre. I have read it a few times since. It's such a classic!
My all time favourite is The Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis. I received the set for my birthday and have been reading it year after year after year.
I don't know about one fav of all time but I know the classic series/authors of when I was a kid that I still share with my kids today. they love Robert Munch, mercer mayer and Amelia Bedelia.
I don't have a specific Title that I like but I am obsessed with Kathy Glass books because they are based on real life events and some of the most touching yet shocking stories of her life experiences and the people she has encountered along her journey of helping others.
My favourite book is The Wizard of Oz. I read it when I was 10 and I think it just hooked me on reading.
It would have to be John Grisholm's "A Painted House". Very enlightening and moving story.
My all-time favourite is "To Kill A Mockingbird" because of the tremendous writing. Also impressed by how it deals with complex issues through the eyes of a child. (Jan Dempsey)

The Wedding, it's about Lords and Ladies in Scotland, a girl is given in marriage to a man that she never met, she marries him, had daily struggle with him daily because she doesn't want to be told what to do and when to do it...I cannot write worth crap..just read the book! I've only read it 4 times and I love it..here's read up a little

Anne of Green Gables. It reminds me of being a child and spending time with my mom, reading together.
That's a tough one. That's like asking the Cookie Monster, which is his favourite cookie. How to choose? Of ALL time? Mmm. I remember being most affected by "Nine Stories" by J.D. Salinger when I was younger. It was the book that prompted my desire to write. For that reason, however sentimental, I would choose that. But really...my favourite books change from year to year! When I was a teenager my favourite book of all time was IT by Stephen King.
The Night Before Christmas because I always read it to my children every Christmas Eve.

My favourite book of all time is Persuasion by Jane Austen. It is such a quiet and lovely book that I find both engrossing and incredibly comforting.

Moon Palace, by Paul Auster. My favorite author of all times, and I must have re-read that book 5 or 6 times (yet). Love everything about it: the story, the characters, the way it all unfolds...

So many good books, but the Anne books left a huge impression on me as a 10 year old reading them.

It's so hard to choose just one book! I love Away by Jane Urquhart. Absolutely beautiful language, and I learn something new every time I read it.
My favourite book of all time has to be Pride & Prejudice. I re-read it at least once a year.
The Giver. So emotional and can read it over and over!
It's so hard to pick just a single book, but I loved The Rosie Project. So funny and heartwarming and perfect.
My fav book is Girlfriend in a Coma by Douglas Coupland. I love how it's set in North Vancouver, and the story is just so amazing.

I loved Charlotte's web because it was a great book and I think it was the first chapter book I every read.

I like to read Danielle Steel books because she is a great author.
This is a tough one. I will have to say Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer. It was a page turner, a learning experience and just jaw dropping plus it was a true story!
Anne of Green Gables always brings me back to a more relaxed childhood time - I read it over and over again, whenever I'm stressed out.

When I was a kid I LOVED "The Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly"!
This much I know is true by Wally Lamb. Why, not sure but it is a book I will never forget. Such a gripping story.
My fave book is To Kill a Mockingbird...I "had" to read it in school but loved the message so much that I kept re reading it.

I'm not sure. I used to read all the time, but don't have time for it anymore. There was this trilogy I read in high school about the desert, and a sand priestess that lived there. I don't remember what it was called, but I used to love those books.
