Who is Carol Au Courant?
I am a creative and passionate Canadian Work at Home Mom to a vibrant and beautiful 5 year old daughter, a handsome and very mindful 1 year old son and happily married for seven years to my alter ago, my wonderful hubby.
This blog focuses on the lifestyle of a modern mom trying to live the life of motherhood with some semblance of grace and dignity, yet still managing to knock over large quantities of produce while grocery shopping.
I am a child of the 80's and a teenager of the 90’s. This explains my love of bad T.V., novelty rap music, and the Club Monaco Sweater's in my closet with which I cannot part.

Prior to that I worked in Human Resources and Recruiter for a large Fortune 100 organization doing full-cycle recruiting and new employee training.
With the success of my first independent staffing business, I was then diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) in 2006.
I was trying to conceive my first child & my job requirements had me constantly on the road and too busy to focus on this process.
So the business was placed on the back-burner.
I was blessed with my 1st daughter in October 2008.
I am an active ambassador for PCOS Awareness and strive to eliminate it once and for all!
After a year of actively undergoing fertility treatments yet again in 2011, my family and I welcomed our newest little addition, our son, this past September 2012.
When my daughter grew, my passion for custom treats and their relation to special events grew.
I then started my 2nd business, Bella's Bon Bon's (inspired after my daughter, Ava Isabella) which became a huge success!
So huge in fact, that I was called upon from Microsoft Canada to fulfill a massive custom order for 2 launch parties.
With the help of my amazing Cake Artist, we made many events unforgettable!
With my strong referral and repeat customer base, Bella's Bon Bon's became a hit.
But unfortunately, due to the lack of manpower, increasing orders and my duties at home, I also had to put a hold on the business.
I hope to eventually open my own storefront; however, I'm still pondering on what to focus on.
My dream is to open a café/book shop/flower shop in Paris someday. :)
What you can believe, you can achieve, right?
In this blog you will find musing's of all sorts.
From recipes, to potty-training boo-boo's, to fashion and current events -- I don't like to miss anything!
I touch upon the Lifestyle of a Modern Mom navigating through Life in the 'Burbs of the Greater Toronto Area and the 411 on Toronto City Eats, Events and Happenings.
That's what makes my blog different. It's eclectic, clever, stylish and opinionated -- much like the author.
So go ahead, get comfy and grab your cup of coffee (or wine!) and join me on my blogging journey!
Cheers!
