Take me to Vermont...

As I sit here with  my cup of green tea latté, reading through emails and skimming through magazines, my 3 year old is loudly whining in the background because she doesn't want to sleep. I've allowed my husband to deal with this tantrum. This is one of many as of late.
Sometimes I find my brain going in many directions while zoning out of the "terror zone" and start to fantasize about a nice, long, quiet vacay somewhere peacefully beautiful.

After seeing this little adorable spread from House Beautiful about this adorable couple who have design business and wine bar in Vermont and live in this kick ass cottage. It’s that creative, laid back life of my dreams. *le sigh*

Okay, I died. This is just perfect.

{Inspired: Join me by the Fire}

aerin4

I will always and eternally be in love with Fall & Winter.

There's something about the cooler months that brings a sense of coziness and romance.
I love heading out to the chalet with family for some skiing (or snowboarding for some). Although I love to ski, I'm normally the one sitting prettily by the fire, wrapped in cashmere and sipping brandy or hot chocolate with marshmallows with a good read.
Winter would be even more perfect if spent gazing out the enormous picture windows at the spectacular views outside of Aerin Lauder's aspen ski chalet among the silver birches, with its reclaimed cypress boards and wire-brushed oak, white walls and bed linens, cosy reading corners and floods and floods of light . . .

Words cannot describe the resplendent beauty of this chalet.  I would literally spend my entire Winter here... curled up on the couch overlooking the winter wonderland , near an open fire, sipping on hot cocoa. *sigh*

Jenn Aniston's new NYC Apartment

Jennifer Aniston is at it again! No stranger to the ins and outs of buying and selling high-priced pads, US Weekly is reporting that Aniston has just purchased a posh apartment in New York City’s Gramercy Park neighborhood. At 50 Gramercy Park North, Aniston is the proud new owner of unit 9B, the only unit at the prestigious address that looks out over Manhattan’s only private park from the master bedroom.
Currently under contract with Aniston for a price close to $9,000,000, the home is fit for everyone’s favorite Friend. Featuring soaring 11.8 foot ceilings, 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, unit 9B offers uncompromised views, incredible natural light, gorgeous hardwood floors, a wood burning fireplace, and sumptuous spa-like bathrooms, custom shelving and top-of-the-line Miele appliances. Designed by John Pawson, 50 Gramercy Park North features beautiful custom features and amenities of a 5-star hotel including: housekeeping, valet, room service, event planning, butler service, catering, personal shopping, delivery service, car wash service and membership to the  gym and spa at the Gramercy Hotel. Aniston bought the property from an unnamed seller, but based on the listing photos, you can tell it’s someone with a serious love of Hollywood. Famous faces grace the walls of the common areas and bathrooms, giving the home a definite aura of Tinseltown.
Ever since Jen stepped out with her latest love Justin Theroux, the couple has been plagued with rumors of marriage and babies. Aniston’s new abode features not one but TWO nurseries. Should the rumors turn out to be true, Jen’s got the right NYC home for a growing family.
This is one gorgeous property! I wouldn't change a thing except for the kitchen. Lovely!
