Attention all Brides/Brides-to-Be!

I know and you know very well how stressful and time-consuming (albeit a good stress and time-consuming) journey it is to plan your big day. You've been dreaming of this day since you were 3 years old and now that it's not too far away, you want to make sure that everything down to the littlest details are just perfect.
You deserve perfect.
You also deserve to save money and get the best bang for your buck!

There are plenty of online sites out there that you can join and read reviews, find vendors, chat with other brides-to-be, get tips, etc. but seldom can you find one that has almost everything you need to help you find wedding related content/reviews for only the GTA and Surrounding Areas. It's about time a wedding site was created to target my specific area in a trusted and informative way.

Bridetastic was created for Brides by Brides.
They understand what you're going through and aim to ensure every single vendor review you see are written personally by brides just like you are (or will become). They share their own stories, photos, reviews, everything! I really loved the Café section of their site which is an interactive forum where you can chat with other brides and answer/read from some very real and honest questions while having your coffee in the comfort of your home (or in a Starbucks).

Although, I've been happily married for almost 6 years now, I still LOVE viewing sites like this and especially checking out wedding photos. There's just something so magical about them and they always give me those warm, fuzzy feelings.
Check out all the beautiful photos from other brides that have already tied the knot via Bridetastic's Photos section.

I had such a great time (being a wedding enthusiast), visiting this site and I highly recommend this for all my GTA (& surrounding area) Brides & Wedding Lovers. Beautiful!

Some FUN news!

Kate Moss says "I do."

As many of my close friends may know, I am a long-time fan of the beautiful Kate Moss. Sure, she had her share of bad media attention and attacks from her drug abuse, anorexic issues and her love life, but in the end, she remains an amazing model with a unique and beautiful face that captured the eyes of the best designers and viewers alike.

This week, Kate Moss wed her rocker fiancée Jamie Hince in a lavish ceremony on the English country side. It was a typical celebrity wedding with a star-studded guest list (Stella McCartney, Jude Law & Sadie Frost to name a few), famous after-party performers (Kanye West & Snoop Dogg) and an ridiculously expensive and fabulous custom-designed vintage-style wedding dress (John Galliano) and matching floor-length veil.

The ceremony was held at a church in Cotswold near the couple's home Kate's daughter Lila served as a flower girl alongside a dozen other gorgeous little girls. In true Kate Moss style, the wedding will be rounded of with a three-day celebration at their country home this weekend.

Sounds like she managed to achieve the perfect mix of traditionality and modernity! The wedding pictures were beautiful and you can view them on Vogue's website.

Best wishes to the new happy couple!

Lemonhead Invitations

I came across the most adorable invitations and thought I'd share with everyone.
They're called Lemonhead Invites. Why? Because they come with those tasty and bright yellow lemonhead candies! Who wouldn't want to receive an invite with a tasty treat? I know I would!

I love the idea of invitations in 3D aspect especially in these boxes. How unique!
These are so simple and cost-effective.
Just buy lemonhead's in bulk (Bulk Barn (if they have any) or http://www.ferrarapan.com/)
Then purchase some similar boxes at Michael's (http://www.michaels.com) or Creative Bag (http://www.creativebag.com/), either create and print your own invites or have them specially made and wrap them with yellow ribbon. The labels can be printed on your inkjet printer and then round the corners.
Voila!
A creative and also sweet invite that your potential guests will surely not forget.

An Amazing Wedding Gift Idea: Framed Invitations

I came across this posting on one of my favourite Blogs and thought I'd share because it's just too beautiful not to. :)
This gift will definitely be one of the most cherished gifts the bride & groom will receive on their wedding day!

Here is how you make one of these gorgeous framed invitations!

1.) Email/call the bride to find out the color scheme of the wedding (bridesmaid dress colors, flower colors, accent colors, etc).
2.) After receiving the Wedding invitation:
• Bring the invitation with you to your local craft store (ie. Michael's)
• Shop for a frame suitable to the couples’ taste (modern, classic, silver, gold).
• Be sure the frame will allow room for pressed flowers to be placed around/on the invitation.
• Choose an 8x11 inch piece of scrapbook paper that compliments the invitation colors and frame.
Be sure not to overpower the invitation or flowers with the color paper you choose.
3.) Order dried, pressed flowers that go with the wedding’s color scheme or just pick some up at your local Arts & Crafts Store.
4.) Glue the invitation on the 8x11 scrapbook paper. Be sure to center it by measuring on all sides.
5.) Arrange the flowers on the invitation first. Play around with different arrangements BEFORE you glue. Try placing flowers across the top or bottom of the invite or in opposite corners. You want to create a balance without taking away or covering the information or design on the invite. 6.) Use tweezers to handle the flowers as you arrange them on the invite.
7.) Once you decide on a design/arrangement you like, add a small drop of super glue to the flowers and place them where you like.
8.) Wait for the glue to dry before placing the decorated invite into the frame.

Now you have an inexpensive, but thoughtful and sentimental wedding gift for your bride and groom!
